The Asics GEL Cumulus® 9 is cushioned shoe designed for runners who underpronate or have a neutral footstrike and desire shock attenuation. Upgraded significantly for Fall 2007, the popular GEL Cumulus® 9 now features ASICS patented Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.®) to enhance the foot's natural gait. A Solyte®midsole and Personalized Heel Fit (PHF®) optimize performance fit even further.
Upper
The Biomorphic Fit Upper provides a superior fit and function. Memory foam lined heel collar molds to athlete's heel allowing a Personal Heel Fit (PHF®). An open mesh provides excellent comfort and breathability. 3M Reflective Material enhances visibility during low light hours increasing safety.
Sole
Strategically placed GEL® cushioning systems attenuates shock during impact phase and toe-off phases. Solyte™ midsole material is lighter than ASICS' standard EVA and SPEVA®, combined with improved cushioning and durability. Impact Guidance System linked componentry that enhances the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe-off. DuoMax® Support System helps ensure that the shoe maintains proper support for the foot during the critical transition from heel strike to toe-off. ComforDry™ insole provides the optimum cushioning performance system that creates a cooler, drier, healthier shoe environment. Personal Heel Fit memory foam lined heel collar molds to athlete's heel, creating a personalized fit. Dynamic Cradle molded midsole component engineered for specific foot types to enhance guidance and fit. AHAR®, ASICS High Abrasion Resistant rubber, is placed in critical areas of the heel to increase durability. DuraSponge, Blown AHAR® rubber compound, enhances cushioning and durability in the forefoot. Space Trusstic System® creates a pocket between the Trusstic System® device and the midsole allowing for greater midsole deformation and more efficient foot function.
