Upper
Synthetic/Air mesh for comfort and breathability. External heel stabilizer for additional stability. Ultimate Sockliner with IMPLUS® sets the standard for cushioning and durability. Internal stability saddle. 360 degrees of 3M® reflectivity increases nighttime visibility. An internal thermoplastic heel counter helps stabilize the heel. An internal Support Sleeve(ISS) helps the upper "wrap" the foot.
Sole
HydroFlow® ST XL for excellent shock absorption and stability during heel impact. Forefoot HydroFlow® provides customized cushioning to the forefoot. The new, full length Substance 257 midsole offers unsurpassed cushioning and durability. The Forefoot Stability Mesh adds to the strength and integrity of the midsole without adding weight or rigidity. The Extended Diagonal RollbarTM helps minimize excessive pronation. DRBTM Accel design spans the width of the midsole increasing midfoot support. Brooks HPR Plus in the heel strike area represents the ultimate in outsole durability. Crumple Zone in heel strike area smoothes out initial impact with the running surface.
